rent rise from 5400 to 6750 DKK

Hello, I just started renting a studio in Copenhagen of 36sqm and it costs in total 6750 DKK. Now I just heard from the former tenant that he just paid about 5400 DKK per month. Is it legal that the rent goes up like this and can I make a claim to pay less? Best, Sophie

I do agree that your rent looks too high, but whether its possible effectively to do anything about it, depends on many different factors.
