I have just moved out from my apartment where I was staying for 4 months. My landlord found several scratches on the floor in the bedroom. Now he wants me to cover the expenses for replacing the floor in the entire room. Our contract was very basic and didn’t mention any terms about damages.
In such case is it rightful of him to demand that ?

That depends on the damages. If the damages was there when you moved in, you are not obliged to pay for a replacement of the whole floor.
Probably you have paid too much in rent like 90 % of all tenants of privatly owned appartments. If you complain to the local Rent commission (“Huslejenævn”), you have a chance of getting some of the money back.
Become a member of a tenants organisation (“Lejerforening”), and get help.
